Lazy Lion Update #40

Update #40 gave insight to community activities and objectives from around the pride. ROARwards winners, @EkulLion using a lazy special, and acknowledgment of various spaces around the community were the main subject.

WoozyPelican on Upcoming ROARwards 3.0

Community Mod @WoozyPelican provided some helpful insight on how to approach the upcoming ROARwards 3.0 release. Reiterating the importance of OG Lions while stating his belief that full set holders may receive higher rewards. This seems to be a common conception around the community which has driven drink prices higher. 

Beyond the value points of ROARwards, Woozy hits on the importance of community interaction and participation. Lazy is incredibly unique in terms of community participation and networking opportunities. There are many welcoming sub communities in the pride who are more than willing to help new users navigate extracting all around value out of the ecosystem. ROARShop

For those who aren’t familiar with ROARShop, its an (unofficial) Lazy Lion merch shop by @AR_on_Tweets loaded with cool gear. Their lead merch collections LFR, Retroar, and Roaring Phrases offer stylish apparel to the community using different Lazy themed designs. That’s not all though as they’ve recently announced the addition of their comic “Rex Roar -Chapter 1- “Lets F’N Roar”. AR has personally done most of the production beyond the music, which was produced by Karl Casey (aka @WhiteBatAudio). Looks like a lot of time, effort, and passion have been put into this platform overall. So at bare minimum it’s worth the visit to check out the dope Rex Roar comic art, and might as well browse some ROAR merch while you’re there!

Discord Update from Nine

‍Lazy co-founder Nine dropped an informative update in discord; Speaking on multiple current situations within the project alongside some upcoming developments for the community. Overall, this update could be summarized as the team informing the community they’re handling all arising situations and opportunities with extreme care. While continuing to develop critical features that will help individuals capitalize on IP while helping grow the overall brand. Here’s a copy and paste of the update…

“Hey Everyone 

We wanted to give you an update on what we’ve been working on and some of our recent developments.

Entertainment

We've had conversations with established names in the entertainment industry, and there is a growing interest in the Lazy Lions brand. As we strive to emerge as a prominent player in this space, we are carefully evaluating potential partners/advisors to identify the best fit for our brand. We will keep you updated on any developments.

ROARwards 3.0

The team is currently building out ROARwards 3.0. We have taken the community's comments into consideration regarding the tiers and what "full sets" actually mean. We are continuously gathering feedback to ensure the platform aligns with the community's expectations. We will provide updates as they become available, as well as clear details on the specifics of the program.

$ROAR token discussions with the new direction are underway, and we're looking at who would be the best fit to advise and help us with the launch. We don't want to rush this, but we are working to ensure we’re ready to launch at the optimal time.

Events

As we have a number of key projects that are high priority and are of value to the community, we’ve made the decision not to attend NFT.Paris this year. We believe these other projects listed in this update are more important at this stage and will provide a higher ROI (low community attendance was also confirmed via our most recent event survey). The fact that it is on the other side of the world for us, it’s also a large time investment which we could use to progress other projects instead. However, this is not to say that all events are out of the books; we are actively keeping tabs on SXSW, NFT LA and NFT.NYC, and we will consider attending these events if they offer opportunities in the entertainment space.

Brand Portal 

We’re working on a brand portal that will provide community members with brand assets and templates to use on social media. Initially, this will be a simple shared drive (in the interest of rolling this out asap), but over time we are looking to build a proper portal on the website.

‍Website

We’re currently in the process of upgrading the site. For now, it’ll be an interim website before eventually transitioning into a website that aligns with our new vision and mission. 

Ordinal NFTs(TBD)

There has been a lot of hype recently around Ordinal NFTs, and we are having many internal discussions about potential opportunities. Nothing is set in stone, but if an idea arises that makes sense and adds value to the brand and holders, we will consider it. It is all really new. You can trust that we will be keeping an eye on this.
